Quote of the Day.'The advice of Jonathan Alpert, a Manhattan-based psychotherapist. "If you view travel as an adventure and a challenge -- including the long lines and delays -- then it can be fun," he says. His advice is to build in enough time to experience this adventure -- a cushion of time, "just in case there are delays." Avoid tight schedules and deadlines. After all, you're on vacation.

Things I have learnt: I am not great in the cold. Chocolate is lethal for me. Pedicures/Manicures are really essentials! Ditto good haircuts.

    Colour Me ABBA-ering
    Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Today HRH and I went to see this movie.
    It was great!
Fantastic singing dancing, comedy and scenery.
    5 ***** for sure....

    Featuring the music of

    sung by the cast:
Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan etc
as well as a great Greek Chorus.

    Filmed partly on location,

    the Greek Island scenery
    including clear waters, great landscapes
    and views that might make you want to leave home;
tie this whole package up into a theraputic couple of hours.

Don't forget to try and spot the actual ABBA member in a quick cameo.

We attended a screening at a Gold Class Cinema, having booked the seats on line.

Given SD's current physical challenges we choose our
seats very carefully. However, when we were escorted to the seats - after having placed our meal menu selections; which would be delivered during the movies-
we discovered there were steps down to the seats.

There were only 2 other seats on the entry level and so we occupied those.
The reclinner seats were luxurious and sink-in-to-able

Our food and beverages arrived as ordered.

We met with the cinema manager after the film
and talked to him of the problems we had encountered,
and the lack of information on the website.
He was most apologetic and gave us 2 complimentary passes.

    We will return.
