Colour Me Melbourne |
Monday, July 14, 2008 |
I arrived in Melbourne today and sure enough it was sunny, though crsip. The crisp I can cope with. The sunny is essential. I was up by 4am and we set off for the airport through thick fog...only to find the airport pretty much in gridlock. Thousands of people are arrivng and travelling through to Sydney for the World Catholic Youth Day. No grid lock for the Pope, he arrived this morning and is resting at a country retreat, with a kitten (he loves cats, as well as his red shoes) and a baby grand piano. Apparently he plays wonderfully. The trip was smooth and 2 hours 5 minutes later we touched down, right in the middle of a very interesting doco on the History Channel. I mean I was watching it, not that's where the plane landed. Ok so I am tired.... Tomorrow we are off to see 'Mama Mia' so come back for the review...then for a massage. Dinner is already made and a relaxing evening planned.
