(we didn't see these birds but if you visit the park you will - CLICK on image to find out more... )
A Farmers Market is held on 2nd & 4th Saturdays in the car park at the Currumbin Sanctuary.
This market was larger then the one we attended last week, with more people, though we were 40 minutes later. Last week we spent $30 and felt we did well, however this time we only spent $25, and that included 1 dozen free range eggs. The Orthopod found a pear, a necklace and a mobile phone. (She found the owner of the necklace, handed the phone to an attendant and stood holding the pear where she found it)
I was busy looking upward at the huge planes coming in to land at the very near by Gold Coast Airport...I'd like to try and get a video clip next time we are there - in 2 weeks.
The Orthopod tasted many dips and so forth and then enjoyed a sample cup of chicken curry ( the sellers own blend ) with a dob of date chutney on top. She pronounced it Very Nice! Oh and there was a lil piece of turkish bread on top, a cute touch.
We didn't buy any treats, but we looked hard!!!
