Farewell breakfast at Saltbush Castle - wonderful and cooked so graciously by HRH herself!! The Staff, we were led to believe, is given the Easter Holiday off, and the Royal Family all pitch in to experience real life. HRH excelled with timely co ordination, and produced field mushrooms, crispy bacon, tomato and poached eggs on toast. Orange Juice served with it. The King Consort then headed south to 'catch' the fish required for a special meal today, as Her Maj. the King Consort's mama, will journey from Chez Waverly to the Castle for a brief sojourn. The Princess will possibly retire to her own tower.
No doubt much chocolate will be eaten. "No doubt" as the Colonel said to Elenore in Jane Austen's delightful work Sense and Sensibilty.
A final comment must be made. well perhaps two? How thoughtful and kind of the KC to interrupt his fishing expedition to call and say au revoir to me... and HRH and the Princess: dancing with you in the car park was a great moment. (mum said there ought to be more of it!!)
